King Kofi is one of the most versatile artists to emerge out of North London’s hip-hop scene. The release of 2016’s ‘Just A Dude In Need Of A Chance’ mixtape saw the 20 year old rapper gain a respectable online fan-base. He then followed up the project at the start of 2018 with the release of his debut studio effort (“Summer With The Wolves”) which cemented the artist as one of the UK’s most conceptual young storytellers; the title track was featured in i-D magazine’s “Best New Music” playlist. The album suggested the rapper had found his sound and his footing, managing to "incorporate a mix of genres from trap to indie to soul over which heartfelt, raw and often playful wordplay is layered on top as thick and meaty as marzipan on a fruitcake." The rapper’s inspirations range from Hip-Hop icons such as Jay-Z, Eminem and Kanye West, to alternative/ indie bands such as ‘The Middle East” and “The Naked And Famous”.
